Girl’s Soccer All-District Honors

After our 2018 season, seven of Sherman’s own have received All-District nods for their on-field achievements. DISTRICT 5-5A GIRLS HONORS District MVP – Maddie Kyle, Rider Offensive MVP – Alyssa Hollis, WFHS Defensive MVP – Gigi Upchurch, Denton Goalkeeper of the Year – Jordan McLarty, Rider Newcomer of the Year – Abbey Hill, Denton Braswell

Sherman High Soccer Feb. 12

The Sherman High School Soccer Teams were shut out in action Friday in losses in District 10-5A action. The Bearcats (2-8-3, 1-4-1) lost to McKinney North, 2-0, while the Lady Bearcats (4-7-1, 1-5) also lost, 2-0, to McKinney North. Both teams will host Wylie East Monday night.

Bearcat Soccer

The Sherman High School soccer teams both posted defeats early this week in District 10-5A action.   The boy’s team lost 3-1 against Wylie with Eladio Lira scoring the Bearcats’ lone goal. The game was tied until the final 13 minutes.   The girl’s team lost 3-0 to Wylie in 10-5A action as well.  

Soccer Dominates

The Sherman Lady Cats Soccer Team continued their dominance over the Denison Lady Jackets by winning Friday, 3-0, at Munson Stadium. It was the first district win for the Lady Cats. Veronica Sosa scored twice in the second half while Lauren Goolsby added a goal in the first half.
